As Senior British Correspondent, Oliver reported on the Queen staring at boats during a beans-and-toast downpour, investigated the banning of the N-word, interviewed UN Ambassadors and many distinguished thinkers. He once broke his nose fighting for the Confederate army. His new show, "Last Week Tonight with John Oliver," premieres at the end of April on HBO. In recent years, John Oliver hosted "John Oliver's New York Stand-Up Show" on Comedy Central, which features some of the best upcoming stand-up comedians in the country. Oliver's Comedy Central hour-long special "Terrifying Times" debuted in April 2008. Along with Andy Zaltzman, Oliver also writes and hosts the weekly podcast "The Bugle: Audio Newspaper for a Visual World."
